“Home of the Bears”

Woodland Park Public School was built in 1990 in the northeast section of Cambridge. We’re a composite school that prides itself in maintaining a caring and enriching school learning community. Woodland Park is home of the “Bears” and our motto is:

PAWS – Positive Attitude Woodland Spirit

Our school is renowned for the strength of all of our programs, including music, athletic and extra-curricular programs.

When we opened in September 1990, our school’s population was 350; currently, we have 510 students in attendance from JK to grade 8. Our neighbouring school, Hillcrest Public School, feeds into Woodland Park for grades 7 and 8, and our graduates go on to attend Jacob Hespeler Secondary School. The data taken from provincial surveys indicates that our students feel safe, respected and valued.

Our staff consists of over 50 people encompassing dedicated teachers, educational assistants, support staff, custodial staff and administration who respect students and make Woodland Park a welcoming place for all.

All staff members are involved in continuous learning on many different levels. They embrace the collaborative learning environment concept and are passionate about learning from each other and with each other.
