Parent Council Fundraising Initiative
“Creating Opportunities and Maximizing Potential”
In lieu of traditional fundraisers such as chocolate bar sales, holiday cards, etc., Parent Council has decided to ask families to make a donation to Woodland Park to support student learning and school initiatives. Donations may be made in three (3) ways: Cash, Cheque, or On-line. Cheques are made payable to Waterloo Education Foundation Inc. (WEFI). On-line donations are done through the school’s website. 100% of all donations go to the school, and any donation over $15 receives a tax credit that is mailed to each home. Donations can be made anytime throughout the school year (we will send out reminders). For donations made by cheque or cash, please include your full name and mailing address on a separate paper so your tax receipt may be mailed to you.
To donate online:
- Go to the Woodland Park Public School website
- Click on donate now button (located on the left hand side of the page)
- Select our school (under the select the fund your donation will support)
- In the message for WEFI box please indicate clearly that the money is for School Council.
Council’s Fundraising Goals
(In no particular order)
- Improving our Home Reading Inventory (K-Gr.3)
- Improving our Junior Reading Classroom Libraries (Gr. 4-6)
- Subsidizing Field Trips (All Grades)
- Improve our Playground – new basketball nets, soccer posts, outdoor learning centres (all grades)
