We are still waiting for a few Treasures Books to be returned. Please ensure you send yours back on Monday if you haven’t already done so.
School Council is hosting another movie night! On Thursday, November 17th at 6:30 p.m. please join us for the animated Disney movie Finding Dory. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie will end at approximately 8:15 p.m. All members of the Woodland Park community are welcome so bring your friends and family and come spend the evening with us. Admission is $1.00 at the door. Snacks will be available to purchase — popcorn, cheese pizza and water will be sold for $1.00 each on a first-come, first-served basis, or you may bring your own food. Please note: all students must be accompanied by an adult.
On November 11th we will be holding our Remembrance Day assembly. Each year the Royal Canadian Legion provides our staff and students with poppies (or poppy stickers for our younger students) and this year we would like to remind parents that the Legion appreciates monetary donations for their Poppy Fund. Students are welcome to bring in any amount of money to donate to this fund.
November 18th is a PA Day. In the morning staff will be working on the School Improvement Plan for student achievement and well-being. The afternoon is set aside for parent-teacher interviews. Each teacher will set up their own schedule and will communicate that to parents. As always, parents may contact teachers at any time regarding their child’s progress at school.
