Exciting news91.5 The Beat will be broadcasting their breakfast show from Woodland Park on Tuesday, October 4th.  The crew will be setting up in the wee hours of the morning and will broadcast from our parking lot until 9:00 a.m.  Parents and students are welcome to visit and perhaps be on the radio!  The Beat is also offering free coffee for parents as well as a chance to win seasons tickets for the KW Titans – Kitchener’s new NBL basketball team.  The Beat’s partner, BDO Debt Help, is donating $500 to Woodland Park.  Be sure to stop by and say hello to our friends from The Beat!

The Turkey Trot is back! Next week, from Monday to Friday at first nutrition break, any student interested can participate in the Turkey Trot.  What is the Turkey Trot?  The Turkey Trot is a great opportunity for our students to get out and exercise, as well as donate non-perishable food items to the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank. During first nutrition break participating students will be given one ballot for each lap of the field they run or walk.  Students that donate food bank items will get two ballots per lap.  The ballots will be entered for a chance to win a Thanksgiving turkey.  Lace up your runners Bears and let’s trot!!

Pizza orders are due by Sunday, October 2nd at midnight.  Please log into School-Day to place your order.  If orders are not paid for online the cash must be handed in at the office by Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.  Due to time limitations late orders will not be accepted.  Also please note that pizza will not be saved for absent students.

Our tuck shop will be open for business starting Monday, October 2.  Each day at second nutrition break students who have brought in tuck shop money will be given an opportunity to visit the tuck shop to make a purchase. The tuck shop stocks items, which follow the Ministry’s healthy eating guidelines, such as milk (white and chocolate), baked chips, water, cheese strings, kettle corn, juice, fruit snacks, cookies, frozen yogurt and apples.  All items are $1.00 or less.  Got a buck?? Spend it at tuck!!!
